This page an early example of Ventura instruments available from C. Bruno Distributors in 1968. Click any image to enlarge. I think these may be from the era before they started putting the "Designed in the U.S.A. - Crafted in Japan" logo stickers inside the soundhole of the acoustic guitars. However, notice page 5 states: "They produce the sounds of America." They usually had Ventura logo stickers inside, they just had not yet coined the "Designed in America - crafted in Japan" term yet. There is a story of how that sticker came about, and at least one big American guitar manufacturer doesn't like it told. But I will tell the story eventually! You can already see that Bruno was particularly fond of copying Martian acoustic guitars. Though they made their share of Gibson copies as well.
